Preparatory work on the Deux Montagnes line
Work required in preparation for the future REM infrastructure will begin April 27th. This important step will provide critical data that will help to guide NouvLR, the consortium entrusted with the REM’s construction, in designing the REM structures and stations.
Nature of the work
Coordinated by the REM project office, the work will initially consist in geotechnical drilling, surveying and the building of temporary facilities. These tasks are critical to assessing soil composition and resistance — a prerequisite to designing and constructing the various infrastructures.
Impact
To ensure construction workers’ safety, service on the Deux Montagnes and Mascouche lines will be suspended on Friday night and weekends.
Last departures on Friday nights are:
- Central Station > Deux-Montagnes: 7:30 p.m.
- Central Station > Mascouche: 7:12 p.m.
- Deux-Montagnes > Central Station: 6:33 p.m.
- Mascouche > Central Station: 5:17 p.m.
