Preparatory work in the City of Dorval

April 29 to May 8 (excluding May 4 and 5). The work will be done solely at night, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Where: in the central island of Highway 40 West, between Halpern Street and Saint-Régis Boulevard.

 

Nature of the work

The work will involve carrying out geotechnical drilling to assess soil composition and resistance—a prerequisite to designing and constructing the REM infrastructure. 

 

Impacts 

  • To ensure the safety of the work team, the right lane of Highway 40 West and the left lane of the service road will be closed during weeknights (between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.).
    There will be no traffic obstructions during the day.

  • The drilling may generate noise and dust, but the impact on neighbouring homes will be minor because the work will be done under Highway 40 West.
