Fairview Avenue Closure | Road and aqueduct work

Nature of work : 

Various works are planned from August 11 until the end of September, on Fairview Avenue between the service road of Highway 40 West and the entrance to Cadillac Fairview: rehabilitation of the water supply network, installation of streetlights and traffic light bases, modification of the entrance to Cadillac Fairview, installation of curbs, sidewalks, and paving. 

The work will take place in three phases*: 

August 11 to 29: Complete closure of Fairview Avenue. 

Beginning on August 30, for approximately 3 to 4 weeks : Partial closure of Fairview Avenue, with one lane obstructed in each direction.

Night of September 20 to 21: Paving work from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

*These dates are subject to change. Preliminary and subsequent work during this time slot allows for the mobilization and demobilization of equipment and site cleaning. 

Detour routes and signage will be in place.

Impacts and mitigation measures: 

The objective of the REM project office and the NouvLR consortium is to mitigate the impacts on residents and ensure everyone's safety by implementing appropriate measures.

• Noise, vibrations, and dust may be generated by these works.
• Access to businesses and shops will be maintained during the works.
