Nature of the work:

In order to continue the development work on future accesses to the REM’s Île-des-Sœurs station, a traffic obstruction will be necessary to carry out the work at the intersections of René-Lévesque Boulevard and Champlain Bridge Street, as well as at the Claude-Robutel traffic circle. This work is scheduled to begin on February 27 and last approximately 8 weeks.

Impacts and mitigation measures:

  • A portion of René-Levesque Boulevard will be completely closed southbound, between Champlain Bridge Street and the Claude-Robutel traffic circle.
  • Champlain Bridge Street (access to Highway 15 South) will be completely closed.
  • Northbound traffic on René-Lévesque Boulevard will be maintained at all times with one lane open.
  • The multipurpose path (pedestrians, cyclists) will also be maintained at all times.
  • Appropriate signage will be installed and a detour via Île-des-Sœurs Boulevard will be provided to access Highway 15 South.
