Construction of retention pools near the Pierrefonds-Roxboro station

Nature of the work:

In order to build two retention pools near the REM track, excavation work is expected. These retention pools will allow rainwaters to be drained into the City's aqueduct systems.  

Impacts and mitigation measures:

• Excavation of the pools will lead to dust, noise and trucking activities;

• Implement noise mitigation measures such as the noise wall, an acoustic compound on noisy equipment such as generators, white-back alarm on vehicles, engines turned off when equipment is on hold, etc.

• Program to monitor and monitoring noise, air quality and vibration will be carried out during work.
