Construction of a spawning ground in the Rivière des Mille-Îles - Tree-Planting activities

Nature of work: 

Tree-planting activities will take place near the Rivière des Milles-Îles during the week of May 27, 2024, as part of an environmental compensation project for the construction of Montreal's future Réseau express métropolitain. These planting activities follow the construction of an in-river spawning ground in 2023. 
 

Anticipated impacts and mitigation measures : 

• Dust and noise may be generated during operations. This will be monitored by a team of environmental experts.
• Trucking may be involved. 
• Traffic will remain possible. A possible short-term slowdown is to be expected.
