Dismantling of tracks and pavement of Alexander Street - Complete Obstruction to Car Traffic

Dismantling of tracks and pavement of Alexander Street - Complete Obstruction to Car Traffic

Road
From April 22 for an approximate duration of 4 weeks
North Shore

Nature of the work:

In order to achieve the work on the crossing on Alexander Street, a complete obstruction to traffic is expected on Alexander Street near the REM Viaduct starting April 22.

This work will include activities such as breaking down existing rails and culverts, installing drainage infrastructure, rebuilding sidewalks, paving of the pavement and markings and landscaping.

Anticipated impacts and mitigation measures:

  • A complete closure of traffic lanes on Alexander Street will be necessary for the duration of work between Bonny Street andStation.

  • Some parking car entrances could be temporarily hampered. Specific communication will be provided with the residents concerned.

  • A detour will be set up by Rue Ceres, on the Blvd. Sunnybrooke and West Gouin Blvd. Signalling and signage will be present to facilitate traffic.

  • Maintain a pedestrian traffic lane at all times.

  • Although work will take place on weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., this portion of Alexander Street will remain closed to traffic for the entire duration of the work.

  • This work can generate noise and dust. A follow up will be carried out by our experts.
