Launching gantry “Anne” - Pierrefonds-Roxboro

Nature of the work:

The first phase of the elevated structure construction was completed with the construction of pillars in the centre of the railroad right-of-way in 2021.
In 2022, work will continue with the installation of concrete segments, which will form the deck of the elevated structure and on which the new REM infrastructure (rails, electrical systems, etc.) will be installed.

This work will be performed between 11th Avenue and Des Sources Boulevard using launching gantry Anne, Starting March 28, 2022, for approximately 5 months.

Step 1 - Preparation of the launching gantry (positioning, tests, etc.)

From March 28 to 31, 2022, during the day, between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m

*Due to weather conditions, the obstruction is extended for Friday (April 1), Monday (April 4)

Stage 2 - Start-up of the assembly line (installation of the first segments)  From March 30 to April 2, during the day, between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.  Completed

Impacts and mitigation measures:

  • This work will generate noise. For health and safety reasons, an alarm will be audible when the launching gantry will be in operation.
  • Night and weekend work is planned. Special mitigation measures will be put in place due to the nature of the work. Monitoring will be carried out by our environmental specialists.
  • Truck traffic is to be expected for the delivery of concrete segments near the pillars.
  • 11th Avenue will be completely closed between 4th Avenue and Jean-Brillant Avenue from March 28 to 31, 2022 between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Flaggers and appropriate signage will be deployed to facilitate traffic flow.
