Ongoing development work in the Marc-Cantin sector - obstructions

Nature of work:

Work to rehabilitate the Marc-Cantin sector following the arrival of the REM will continue into autumn 2023. Ultimately, this work will improve traffic flow in and around the Pointe-Saint-Charles business park.

Here are the details of the activities that will take place:

A Development of the intersection of boul. Gaétan-Laberge and rue Marc-Cantin - Westbound

From October 16, 2023.

For about 3 weeks

B Development of the intersection of boul. Gaétan-Laberge and rue Marc-Cantin - Eastbound

From October 30, 2023.
For about 3 weeks

 

Impacts et mitigation measures:

  • The work will be carried out in several phases, during the day and at night.
    • Phase A - Complete closure of a portion of boul. Gaétan-Laberge westbound from October 16, for approximately 3 weeks. A contra-flow lane will be set up to allow westbound access (Verdun).
    • Phase B - Complete closure of a portion of Gaétan-Laberge Blvd. Gaétan-Laberge eastbound from November 6, for approximately 3 weeks. A contra-flow lane will be set up to allow eastbound access (downtown).
    • Access to the Via Rail parking lot will be guaranteed at all times via boul. Gaétan-Laberge.
    • Signallers and appropriate signage will be on hand to facilitate traffic flow.
  • Some work will generate noise, dust, vibrations and truck traffic. Mitigation measures will be deployed whenever possible.
