Starting April 23, for about 1 week. The work will be done solely during weeknights, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
South Shore
Nature of the work
The work will involve carrying out geotechnical drilling to assess soil composition and resistance—a prerequisite to designing and constructing the REM infrastructure.
Impact
- To ensure the safety of the work team, there will be alternating lane closures during the night (between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.) on weekdays on Leduc Boulevard.
- There will be no traffic obstructions days and weekends.
- There will be no impact on Highway 10 traffic.
- The bike path will be closed during the work.
The drilling may generate noise and dust, but the impact on neighbouring homes will be minor because the work will be done under Highway 10.
