
Repair of the Marcel-Laurin railway structure

Nature of work
As part of the work being carried out by the REM, the Marcel-Laurin Boulevard railway overpass, near the Bois-Franc station, will be repaired. This work will not affect rail service and includes:
- Seismic reinforcement of the structure
- Repair of the columns’ concrete
- Crack grouting
- Cleaning of the structure
- Painting

Impacts and mitigation measures
The goal of the REM project office and the NouvLR consortium is to mitigate the impact on surrounding residents and ensure everyone’s safety by taking all appropriate measures.
This work will generate noise, vibration, dust and truck traffic. Mitigation measures will be implemented as needed to mitigate impacts at the source. In order to ensure the project’s noise, vibration and air quality criteria are met, monitoring by environmental experts will take place throughout the work.
