Short-term closure of a portion of Smith Street

Nature of work :

In order to proceed with the concreting of the foundations of the new abutments of the De la Commune Bridge, a portion of Smith Street must be closed to traffic. This closure will take place between November 10 and 13 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., between de la Commune and Young Streets.

Impacts and mitigation measures :

• Noise, dust and trucking will be generated by this work. A follow-up will be carried out by experts. Mitigation measures will be deployed when possible.
• A traffic obstruction is planned on Smith Street in order to carry out this work.

* The time slot is from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, due to the nature of the work, it cannot be interrupted during execution and must be completed in order to ensure the integrity of the existing infrastructure. Should this situation arise, the time slot will be extended to finalize the work begun.
