Traffic obstruction on Des Sources Blvd between Highway 40 and Hymus Blvd

Nature of the work :

The planned work consists of finalizing the development of Des Sources Boulevard between Highway 40 and Hymus Boulevard. A significant obstruction will allow the repair work on the road structure, curbs, sidewalks, median strip, as well as the installation of lighting and traffic lights at the intersection of Des Sources Boulevard and Place Transcanadienne. It is possible that complete closures may occur occasionally to carry out work. This redesigned intersection will provide access to the parking lot of the Des Sources REM station.

This work will be carried out in several phases starting from July 8, 2024, for a duration of approximately 4 months.
 

Impacts and mitigation measures :

The objective of the REM project office and the NouvLR consortium is to mitigate the impacts on residents and ensure everyone’s safety by implementing appropriate measures.

• A detour route will be set up to maintain traffic in the area. Adequate signage will be installed to inform motorists and pedestrians.
• Noise, dust, and trucking will be generated by this work.
