Temporary obstruction for the delivery of the REM electrical substation buildings

Temporary obstruction for the delivery of the REM electrical substation buildings

Road
Scheduled from September 27 to October 1, 2021 - may be postponed depending on weather conditions
Centre of Montréal

Nature of work:

In order to ensure the continuation of the work necessary for the construction of the REM electrical substation, an obstacle will be put in place on a portion of Dunkirk and Côte-de-Liesse roads. This will allow for the delivery and installation of the two modules that make up the substation.

The work will take place depending on the weather conditions. If necessary, this obstruction could be postponed for a few days.

Impacts and mitigation measures:

  • An obstruction will be in place from September 27 to October 1st on Dunkirk Road between Côte-de-Liesse and Glengarry Avenue and on Côte-de-Liesse Road between Stinson Street and Dunkirk.
  • The work will take place during the day, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.* For safety reasons, the deliveries of the two buildings are scheduled between 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. and the convoy will be parked on Côte-de-Liesse Road.
  • A crane will be installed on Dunkirk Road.
  • Resident parking within the barrier will be temporarily relocated to the street.
  • Appropriate signage will be installed and will indicate the proposed detour routes.

The following map shows the work area.

*The time frame for the work is from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Preliminary and subsequent work is necessary to mobilize and demobilize all the elements required for the execution of the work.
