Paving of Deux-Montagnes Boulevard

Nature of the work

Work is planned to restore the roadway under the new railway bridge on Deux-Montagnes Boulevard.  The work consists of connecting the pipes to the municipal network, removing the old rails, reprofiling the street, repairing the sidewalks and curbs, paving the roadway and finally marking the street

To complete this work, a reduction of the number of traffic lanes will take place from July 4 to August 8, 2022, with maintained traffic in both directions. Although this work will take place on weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., the arterial roadway will remain obstructed during the entire work period. Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to cross the obstruction at all times via a landscaped path.

Impacts and Mitigation Measures:

The goal of the REM project office and the NouvLR consortium is to mitigate the impacts on local residents and to ensure the safety of everyone by implementing appropriate measures. 

• Noise, vibrations and dust could be generated depending on the nature of the work. To ensure compliance with the noise, vibration and air quality criteria to which the project is subject, a follow-up is being carried out by environmental experts. 
• Shops and businesses will remain accessible at all times.
• Residences will remain accessible.
