Nature of work

Infrastructure construction will be required to implement mitigation measures when the exo service is closed starting in January 2020. This work includes building two new staircases, a shelter for users, a bus ramp and widening the sidewalk.

Phase 1 : Starting October 21 to early November 2019

  • Temporary closure of 39 parking spaces
  • These parking spaces will once again be available after the work, until the beginning of phase 2 in January 2020
  • Temporary closure of the kiss-and-ride
  • No impact on current train service

Phase 2 : Starting in January 2020

  • Closure of the parking lot shown in red to make room for public transit mitigation measure (bus terminal)
  • Closure of the kiss-and-ride
  • Car access to the parking lot via Marcel-Laurin Boulevard will be closed, and users will be redirected to the Wilfrid-Reid Street access.

Anticipated impacts and mitigation measures

 

The goal of the REM project office and the NouvLR consortium is to mitigate the impact on surrounding residents and ensure everyone’s safety by taking all appropriate measures.

  • The work for phase 1 will take place from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and weekends.*
  • This work may generate noise and dust. Mitigation measures for this work will be implemented as needed to mitigate impacts at the source.
