Temporary obstacle to the delivery of the REM electrical substation building

Nature of the work

To ensure the continuation of the work necessary for the installation of the REM electrical substation, a temporary barrier to pedestrian, automobile and cyclist traffic will be put in place on a portion of Chemin du Tour to the east of the route. of REM. This will make it possible to carry out the delivery and installation of the building making up the substation.
The work will take place depending on weather conditions and the availability of teams and equipment. If necessary, this obstacle could be shifted.

The intersection of chemin du Mistral and chemin du Tour will be alternated for the SST installation period from September 12, 7 a.m. to September 13, 6 p.m.

Impacts and mitigation measures:

• The barrier will be in place from September 11 to 12, on Chemin du Tour to the east of the REM route, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will include the installation of a crane planned to allow the installation of the sub-station building. -station.
• For security reasons, delivery of the substation will be planned at night, between midnight and 4 a.m., via an exceptional convoy during this period. This will be parked on Chemin du Tour near the bridge. Delivery is expected to last approximately one (1) hour, the rest of the work will take place during the day, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
• Upstream coordination with residences located within the barrier will be carried out in order to plan travel and minimize impacts on local traffic.
• Appropriate signage will be installed and will indicate the proposed detour route(s) in the presence of flaggers.
