Scheduled between February 28 and March 6, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. - possible shift depending on weather conditions
North Shore

Update 2023-02-27: obstruction extended until March 6.

Nature of the work:

In order to ensure the continuation of the work necessary for the installation of the REM electrical substation, a temporary obstruction to pedestrian, automobile and bicycle traffic will be put in place on a portion of Chemin du Tour east of the REM route. This will allow for the delivery and installation of the first of two modules making up the substation.

Impacts and Mitigation Measures:

  • The obstruction will involve the mobilization of a crane and the presence of flagmen.
  • For safety reasons, the delivery of the substation module will be scheduled from February 28, at night between midnight and 4 a.m. via a special convoy under road escort. The convoy will be parked on Chemin du Tour near the bridge. The delivery time is approximately one (1) hour. Please note that the delivery could be delayed depending on the availability of escorts.
  • Prior coordination with residents located within the obstruction will be carried out in order to plan the movements and minimize the impact on local traffic.
  • Signage will be installed indicating the proposed detour route(s).
