Nature of the work:

To connect the REM infrastructures between the exit of the Mont-Royal tunnel and Canora station, a new work sequence will take place until spring 2023. Here is a breakdown of the scheduled activities:

Pile drilling for the retaining walls under the Jean-Talon bridge

Underway, until the end of November 2022

Work sequence lasting 3 weeks in November to continue installing the piles.

During the day

Construction of track slabs (excavation, backfill, concreting)

Starting in early November 2022, for about 6 months

During the day

Construction of retaining walls under the Jean-Talon bridge
(installation and concreting of piles and of walls)

From December 2022, for about 5 months

During the day

Reconstruction under the Canadian Pacific railway bridge

(walls, slabs)

From December 2022, for about 4 months

During the day

Other steps will follow and be communicated at a later date.

Impacts and mitigation measures:

  • The work will take place mainly during the day on weekdays, and occasionally on weekends.
  • This work may generate noise, dust and vibrations. Monitoring by environmental experts will take place during the work.
