Construction activities
Beginning July 26, 2019, for approximately four days* Weekdays between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m
South Shore

Nature of work

The REM route runs through the centre of Highway 10 in Brossard. Since the REM is an electric light rail line, work is required to install the electrical system.

Construction of foundations for the future electrical poles supporting the electrical power supply will take place between Milan and Leduc Boulevards, beginning on Friday, July 26 and will last about four days (excluding the weekend). The poles will be anchored to the ground by piles that will be driven to provide optimal stability for these structures.

The following map shows where the work will take place:

Impacts and mitigation measures

  • significant amount of noise will be generated by the pile driving operations.
  • Residents facing Highway 10 may feel vibrations from the work. Environmental experts will monitor the situation. Additional mitigation measures may be implemented where possible
