Eartmoving work with access via Les Peupliers Street

Nature of the work: 

In preparation for the earthening work in spring 2024, the teams will use access to the existing work site on Les Peupliers street, around the corner from Les Ormes, to meet logistics needs (materials deliveries).  

As such, truck traffic will be observed in the area for approximately 5 weeks starting in mid-March.

Impacts and mitigation measures: 

The objective of the REM office project office and the NouvLR consortium is to mitigate the impacts on riparians and ensure the safety of all, by implementing the appropriate measures:

• This work will cause trucking in the sector  

• Very short-term traffic barriers could be put in place when trucks operate. A road signal will be present for the duration of the work.

• The bike path and access to the residences will remain accessible for the duration of use of site access.

• Noise may be caused by this activity. To ensure compliance with the criteria to which the project is subject, environmental experts will follow up.
