Nature of the work**

Core sampling will be done on the concrete foundations of the new catenary poles to ensure quality of poured concrete.  Surface area of poles’ foundations will then be scaled in order to add grout to existing concrete.  

This work is carried out previous to the installation or the new catenary poles planned for this weekend.

 

Impacts and mitigation measures

  • The team will access the railway right-of-way at the entrance of the work site located at the corner of Glencoe Avenue and Dunkirk Road.
  • The work planned may create noise; Measures designed to mitigate noise at the source will be used, including acoustic screens and low impact equipment.
  • Sound level monitoring will be conducted by the teams at the site.

 

*  Work before and after this time period will be necessary to mobilize and demobilize all elements required to carry out the work and to clean up the site.

** Due to the nature of the activities being performed, work has to be completed to ensure the integrity of existing infrastructures and to ensure train service the next morning.
