Construction of a pillar on Leduc Boulevard – night work and traffic obstruction

Road  | Major  | During the night only
Starting June 3, for approximately one week Night work, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
South Shore

Where: Leduc Boulevard, under Highway 10

Nature of the work

The route of the future REM will run along the Highway 10 median, requiring the construction of an elevated structure between Leduc Boulevard and Malo Avenue. To support this structure, a pillar must be built on Leduc Boulevard, using a phased approach. Work will begin June 3 at 10 p.m. and last approximately 7 days. Work will be carried out at night and will result in lane closures during the day. Other Works Info notices will follow to keep you informed about subsequent phases.

Impacts and mitigation measures

This work will generate noise and dust. Environmental experts will ensure project criteria are met. Mitigation measures will be implemented if necessary.

Motorists:

  • During the day: traffic will be limited to a single lane toward Lapinière Boulevard, and a single lane toward the DIX30 area. Police officers will be present to facilitate traffic when appropriate. During that period, we recommended seeking an alternate route if at all possible.
  • At night: Leduc Boulevard will be completely closed when the work takes place at night. Detours will be provided with appropriate signage.

Pedestrians and cyclists:

  • The sidewalk and bike path will remain open. Flaggers will be present to facilitate such traffic.

Access to DIX30 will be maintained at all times via other routes:

  • From Highway 10 East: take exit 11 toward Leduc Boulevard.
  • From Lapinière Boulevard: use Malo Avenue toward Highway 10; then take exit 11 toward Milan Boulevard and then Rome Boulevard.
  • From Highway 30 South: take exit 67 toward Du Quartier Boulevard.
