Preparatory work in the Brossard area

Nature of the work

The work will involve carrying out geotechnical drilling to assess soil composition and resistance—a prerequisite to designing and constructing the REM infrastructure.
 

Impact

To ensure the safety of the work team, there will be alternating lane closures during the day (between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.) on weekdays on Malo Avenue.

• There will be no traffic obstructions evenings and weekends.
• The multifunctional path will remain open at all times for pedestrians and cyclists.
• There will be no impact on Highway 10 traffic.

The drilling may generate noise and dust, but the impact on neighbouring homes will be minor because the work will be done under Highway 10.
