Preparatory work in the Town of Mount Royal area

Over two weekends (May 5–6 and May 12–13, 2018). The work will be done solely during the day, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Montréal (Centre and Airport)

Where: from Côte-de-Liesse Road to Mont-Royal station.

Nature of the work

The work will involve public utilities identification and cleaning using a tank trunk and vacuum truck. This important step will provide the critical data needed to design REM structures and stations and to begin the preparatory work for setting up the construction site.

  • To ensure the safety of the work team, portions of Canora Road will be temporarily and partially closed during the day (between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.).
  • The work will result in short-term traffic obstructions for a short distance on Canora Road in the southbound direction.
  • This identification campaign may generate noise. To minimize the impact, acoustic screens will be installed around the vacuum truck (on all four sides).
  • Signalmen and a truck with a signal arrow will help direct traffic.
