Where:            4375 Henri-Bourassa Boulevard West (Centre communautaire syriaque

Nature of the work:

In order to install the infrastructure on which the REM will run, a new work site entrance must be built to meet logistical needs (e.g. access and storage). The objective remains to make maximum use of the existing entrances to the railway right-of-way. Therefore, from August 2021 until the summer of 2022, the entrance located at 4375 Henri-Bourassa Boulevard West will be used.

Impacts and mitigation measures:

The goal of the REM project office and the NouvLR consortium is to mitigate the impact on local residents and ensure everyone’s safety by taking all appropriate measures.

  • Depending on the type of work carried out, it may generate noise, dust and truck traffic. Environmental specialists will monitor the project to ensure that it complies with applicable noise and air quality criteria.
  • Flaggers and appropriate signage will be in place (if necessary) to direct traffic around the work site.
  • All businesses and residences will remain accessible during the work.
  • The work will take place during the day, on weekdays.
