Road works on 10th Avenue - Complete obstacle to automobile traffic

Nature of the work:

In order to complete some roadwork that includes excavation and paving work on the street structure, a complete obstruction to traffic on 10th Avenue is expected for one week.  It is important to note that on a daily basis, before and after work, the ground will be maintained to allow cars to travel. Since the street is narrow, a detour will be indicated to access the rest of 10th Avenue.

Impacts and mitigation measures:

The objective of the REM office project office and the NouvLR consortium is to mitigate the impacts on residents and ensure the safety of all, by implementing appropriate measures : 

• Some parking car entrances will be temporarily with limited access. 

• Exceptionally, parking will be authorized at all times on 10th Avenue and Lake Blvd. during construction.  Specific communication will be provided with the residents concerned.

• A detour will be made to 11th Avenue.

• Flagmen will be present to facilitate traffic.

• Corridor for pedestrians maintained at all times using signal signals.

• This work can generate noise and dust.
