Work at Canora Station

August 4 and 5
7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Centre of Montréal
Where: in the railway right-of-way near Canora Station.
Nature of the work
On August 4 and 5, drilling will be done in order to install new catenary poles, which should be erected the following weekend, August 11 and 12. The work will take place within the right-of-way, along the existing platform, between Jean-Talon and Glencoe streets.
A catenary is an aerial device consisting of a series of messenger wires and contact lines providing the train’s power supply. This important step will allow us to continue the work for setting up the construction site.
Impacts and mitigation measures
- Some trucks will be in the area to use the right-of-way for transporting machinery.
- A drill will be transported to the entrance of the work site located at the corner of Glencoe Avenue and Dunkirk Road using the bike path located in the logistics zone.
- Although measures will be taken to reduce the noise associated with the work, including the installation of acoustic screens around the compressors, the work planned for this weekend may create noise.
