Nature of the work

Begun in 2019, work to widen the Commune Bridge continues. They will be completed by the end of 2021. Here is a breakdown of upcoming activities:

Temporary relocation of the optical fiber
  • On the night of August 19 to 20, 2021, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • On the night of August 20 to 21, 2021, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. 

 

 

Construction of the deck and north wall Underway, until end of August approximately
Mostly by day 
Waterproofing of the deck

Summer 2021, for approximately 10 days (date to be announced)
Day and night on a weekend

A work notice will be issued in connection with this work when the date is known.
Installation of new railway infrastructures  Starting at the end of August 2021, for about 4 months

Impacts and mitigation measures

  • This work will generate noise and dust. Environmental specialists will conduct monitoring activities to ensure that the project complies with applicable noise and air quality criteria. Mitigation measures will be implemented where possible.
  • Traffic obstructions will be maintained.
  • Occasional night or weekend work is possible. This time slot is necessary for some work near the railroad tracks.
