Dynamic testing begins between Saint-Eustache and Sainte-Dorothée station
Nature of dynamic tests:
Beginning June 17, 2024, REM cars will run at varying frequencies and speeds between the Saint-Eustache maintenance centre and Sainte-Dorothée station in Laval. These tests will take place during the day, between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
Operators will be on board at the start of the tests to validate manual and automatic driving modes. Once all reliability and safety standards have been met, the cars will be controlled automatically from the control center, as will be the case upon the REM’s commissioning. The idea is to quickly reproduce the REM’s running conditions, with the same frequency and car speeds of up to 90 km/h, depending on the sector.
From 8 p.m. onwards, maintenance vehicles are likely to be on the REM tracks to make improvements to the network, when necessary.
Please note that, for safety reasons, unauthorized persons are forbidden to step onto the tracks, at the risk of serious injury and prosecution.
Invitation to residents of Laval and Deux-Montagnes
Coffee meeting on the noise analysis process
The REM team invites you to a coffee meeting to discuss the noise analysis process under way in your area. In recent months, our team of experts has been very active on the issue of noise in the Deux-Montagnes and Laval area. Come and meet us to learn more about their work and the various stages involved in a project like the REM.
An information meeting will be held to present the results of the analyses and any additional mitigation measures to be implemented, if needed.
