Are the REM tracks at ground level or above ground?
The REM tracks are elevated in places, especially to travel over the old level crossings, all of which are to be eliminated. The elevations are gradual in order to respect the maximum slopes. The elevated tracks are supported by sloping embankments or walls. The choice of using walls is always a last resort, when there is not enough space for embankments. The maps below show the location of vegetated slopes and walls in Laval and Deux-Montagnes.
