Nature of the work

Starting September 2019 through winter of 2020, initial work on the technical and electrical rooms as well as access to the future station will begin.

Work will take place during the day, but the objective is to perform most noisy work in the evening and at night. Other Works Info notices will follow to keep you informed about subsequent phases.

Impacts and mitigation measures

  • This work will generate noise and dust. Environmental experts will monitor noise and air quality to ensure that project criteria are met. Mitigation measures may be implemented if necessary.
  • Some parking spaces will be closed off to allow work to take place.
  • All stores and office areas will remain accessible throughout the work, as well as the parking lot and delivery bays at Central Station.

The map below illustrates the work zones planned at Central Station Complex:

*Work is schedule to take place in the evenings and at night from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Please note that due to the nature of the activities being performed, work cannot be interrupted while it is in progress; it must be completed so as to maintain the integrity of the existing infrastructure. Should this situation arise, the work period will be extended to complete the work already begun.
