Temporary obstruction of chemin du Tour - Intervention on the aqueduct network

Update (2023-12-11)

A temporary interruption in the supply of drinking water is scheduled for Monday, December 11, from 07:30 to 19:00. Only residences affected by this shutdown have received a notice of temporary interruption of drinking water supply by mail, as well as a preventive boil water notice effective Monday, December 11, starting at 07:30. 

A notice confirming the lifting of the boil-water notice will then be sent by post once all the required analyses have been completed. An update will also be provided at this point.

Nature of work: 

In order to carry out repairs on an aqueduct pipe, a temporary impediment to pedestrian, automobile and bicycle traffic will be required on a portion of Chemin du Tour between Rivière des Prairies and the REM viaduct. 

This obstruction will be in place from December 6, 2023, for a period of approximately 10 days.

Impacts and mitigation measures :

  • The barrier will be in place from December 6, 2023, for approximately 10 days. It will be located on a portion of Chemin du Tour between Rivière des Prairies and the REM viaduct.
  • Access to residences will be possible at all times, in coordination with the flagmen present. 
  • Appropriate signage will be installed, indicating the proposed detour route(s) in the presence of flagmen.
