Bois-Franc

The Bois-Franc station will replace the train station with the same name. Strategically located at the centre of the network, this is the last station before the REM breaks off into three branches (Airport, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue and Deux-Montagnes).

Implementation plan

The station is located within the quadrangle formed by Marcel-Laurin, Keller, Henri-Bourassa and Toupin boulevards. 

To the south, the station will be accessible from the newly built Wilfrid-Reid Street, via Marcel­-Laurin Boulevard. To the north, the station will be accessible from Keller Street and Marcel-Laurin Boulevard.

Development

  • Start of construction: Winter 2019
  • Height of the station: 6.4 m from street level
  • Length of each platform: 80 m
  • Landscaping around the station (shrubs, perennials, etc.)

 

Services

  • Universal accessibility to the station’s platforms via elevator(s)
  • Bicycles: 120 spaces, 60 of which are covered
  • Bicycle access: A new junction will be added to the existing bike path that runs from Keller Boulevard to the station. On the south side of the station, the bicycle link is currently in development.
  • Buses: 5 platforms and stops on nearby streets
  • Kiss-and-ride, paratransit and taxi spaces
  • Park-and-ride: similar number as today (approximately 740 spaces) including 11 universal access spaces, 74 spaces reserved for carpooling and 15 parking spaces with electric car charging stations

 

Frequency once the network is fully commissioned

  • Peak hours: 2.5 minutes
  • Off-peak hours: 5 minutes
