Commissioning of the Anse-à-l’Orme branch: Next Spring

The dynamic tests conducted over the past few months confirm that the commissioning of the Deux-Montagnes branch will take place in November 2025.

The exact date will be announced in the coming weeks, depending on the dry run, the final step before commercial service begins. During this phase, the REM is tested throughout the day with the same frequency and number of REM cars as in regular service, but without passengers.

Map of upcoming commissioning

The commissioning of the Anse-à-l’Orme branch is scheduled for next spring, allowing the operator to gradually manage the addition of branches and REM cars on a network that will expand from 17 km to 67 km once all three branches are operational. With the addition of the Deux-Montagnes branch, the REM network in service will reach 50 km in November, including 19 operational stations.

This phased commissioning will allow our operator to provide reliable service to users, continue testing on the Anse-à-l’Orme branch, and enable the ARTM to implement the redesigned bus network to the REM stations.

Planned service schedule upon commissioning of the Deux-Montagnes branch, in November 2025 :

  • Brossard to Côte-de-Liesse: 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.
  • Côte de Liesse to Deux-Montagnes:  5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

After 9:30 p.m., bus service will be provided by our partners between Côte-de-Liesse and Deux-Montagnes stations. This schedule will allow continued testing required for the integration of the Anse-à-l’Orme branch next spring.

Upcoming Service Interruptions

In preparation for the next commissioning phase, a network shutdown is planned for Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19, 2025.
