Update on the network: Check your REM direction!
Starting March 6, a new testing phase in preparation for the opening of the A3 – Anse‑à‑l’Orme branch. This change will have a significant impact on all passengers across the network.
What’s changing
The network operates in three directions:
|
Platform 1 |
Direction | Last Station |
| Bois-Franc | Bois-Franc | |
| A4 – Deux-Montagnes | Deux-Montagnes |
|
Platform 2 |
Direction | Last Station |
| A1 – Brossard | Brossard |
These directions appear on the station screens and are also announced onboard the REM.

This step is necessary to enable operators to master the timetable, the scheduling system that precisely determines the arrival and departure times of the cars at each station, as well as the intervals between each car.
Practical tips
If you plan to end your trip at one of the stations between Sunnybrooke and Deux‑Montagnes, choose a REM heading toward A4 – Deux‑Montagnes.
REM heading toward Bois‑Franc will stop at that station, then turn back toward A1 – Brossard.
At Bois‑Franc station, you can easily transfer from a REM heading toward Bois‑Franc to one heading toward A4 – Deux‑Montagnes and continue your trip without difficulty.
New service frequency
Starting March 6, the new service frequency will be tested on the network. These frequencies correspond to those planned for the launch of the new A3 – Anse‑à‑l’Orme branch, which is still scheduled for this spring.
| Station | Peak hours | Off-peak hours |
| Between Brossard et Bois-Franc | 3 minutes 30 | 7 minutes |
| Between Bois-Franc et Deux-Montagnes | 7 minutes | 15 minutes |
