Heading Toward the Next Commissioning Phase
Our operator GPMM, made up of Alstom and AtkinsRéalis, has its teams hard at work, bringing us closer to the next commissioning phase. Over the past few weeks, they’ve been testing the network in preparation for the upcoming fall season.

The current testings
Since this summer, high-frequency circulation has begun across the entire network, and several functions have been tested. This work will continue in the coming weeks with increasingly intensive testing, during which we’ll assess the resilience and redundancy of our systems and equipment—getting closer and closer to the pace of a fully operational REM.
Next, we’ll move on to the final step before commissioning: the dry run. During this period, the REM will run as if it were in service, with morning and evening peak hours and slightly reduced frequencies during the day.
Please note that during the dry run, service between Brossard and Gare Centrale stations will be maintained, as this segment already completed this phase in 2023.
Service Resumption and Upcoming Interruptions
Due to the ongoing testing, service hours between Brossard and Gare Centrale stations are from 5:30 a.m. to approximately 8:30 p.m. on weekdays. Weekend service will resume around mid-September, as system updates are scheduled for the weekends of August 30–31, September 6–7, and September 13-14.
The Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain and the Greater Montréal transit agencies—whom we thank for their collaboration—will continue to provide an alternative to the REM in the evenings and on weekends.
